Club Events

The Club caters for a diverse range of tastes, interests and budgets. There is a comprehensive and extremely full calendar of events in which members may participate throughout the year.

Members can take their cars on Regional or Register organised runs; enter their cars in Concours competitions; take to the racing circuit on Club organised Track Days; visit Classic Car Shows or Motor Museums in the company of other members; gain special admission deals to major sporting events, such as Le Mans; join other members on weekends and short tours based at quality hotels in areas of superb scenery.

Region Visits: There is a wide variety of events organised in the regions ranging from the end of year dinner, karting, museum visits, trips to assembly plants, through to guest speakers, canal trips and Scalextric racing. During the racing season many regions attend race meetings to support the Porsche Club racing series.

Register Visits: The individual model Registers arrange and participate in numerous events throughout the year. Often these are linked to large regional events or those organised by other ‘Classic’ car clubs. Visits to independent Porsche specialist are popular for older cars, car clinics organised by Official Porsche Centres more popular with the owners of more recent cars.

Scenic Drives: Regions often organise scenic runs for their members to areas with fine scenery and good driving roads, sometimes in convoy, sometimes individually with a road book and an agreed lunch stop. These can be part of a weekend away either in the UK or mainland Europe.

There is a tradition of convoy runs from some regions to the venue of the National Event at venues such as Althorp, Bramham Park and Eynsham Hall.

For several years, the Heritage group has organised a Cotswold Rally exploring the side roads of this area centred on the Club Office at Moreton-in-Marsh.

International: Every year is a busy year for the PCGB member that makes the most of a very full calendar of national and international Porsche related events. The Porsche Clubs in Europe take turns to organise international events to which PCGB members are made most welcome.
