Porsche Club National Festival Blenheim Palace
11th & 12th July 2009Blenheim Palace, near Oxford, will prove an outstanding venue with much to see and do for all the family. This is even before you consider the Porsche Club enclosure with space for 1000+ Porsches. Anniversary displays will include GT3s, 964s and Carrera 3.2s but, as always, all Porsches are welcome, member or not. Porsches will be assembled based upon their Register and, this alone, should make a stunning spectacle. This will be the first opportunity for many to view the new Gen II 997 GT3 and compare it with Porsche’s very first prototype GT3. Additionally members can equate themselves with a 40 year young 917 – The archetypal Porsche Le Mans racer. Extensive catering is provided within the Porsche Club enclosure including an American style Diner and the Fire Engine Bar from the Silverstone Classic. This in addition to Blenheim’s own catering, café and restaurant facilities throughout the grounds.. Arena events, and demonstrations, will include:- Gates will open for Porsches from 8:00am on both Saturday and Sunday. Pre booking has now closed so, if you haven’t already ordered tickets, you can pay on the gate. Cash payment is preferred and you can further speed things along by taking advantage of the half price souvenir programme deal (normally £2) thus rounding up to £30 per car for the day. One of the highlights of the annual event is the Gala dinner, and this year will be no exception. Entertainment will be provided by the trio Fraternity, and the night will be rounded off with a Casino Night through to midnight. There are no more than a handful of places now available through Club Office. For further details please use the menu on the left |
